No-code directory builder with monetization
Directify turns one sentence into a hosted, themed directory with paid listings, claims, ads and lead capture built in. Ever Works researches the listings from the web, writes them with sources, generates the site code, and keeps the directory fresh on a schedule — content and code in your Git.
Directify is a hosted, no-code directory builder: describe the directory you want and it stands up a themed listings site on its own subdomain in about a minute, then hands you the operator toolkit — paid listings and claims, scheduled ad campaigns, lead forms with an inbox, spreadsheet and Google Maps importers — from one dashboard, with no platform fee on what the directory earns. It is the quickest way to be running a monetized niche directory without touching code or holding a database. Ever Works starts from a different premise: give it a topic and its agents research the actual listings from the web with a source per entry, write the descriptions and comparison pages, generate the site from a template you own, and keep re-checking and extending the directory on a schedule — all committed to your own Git, on an open-source (AGPLv3) runtime you can self-host. Directify’s AI is a setup step that fills the template with sample listings you then replace or import over, and its one continuous agent is a setup you host and run yourself. Directify sells a finished appliance for operating a directory business; Ever Works sells a researcher and maintainer that ships the directory and the code behind it.
Directify’s AI step generates categories, custom fields, a theme and sample listings — placeholders you replace by hand or overwrite with a CSV, a Google Sheet or a Google Maps import — and its content writer works with your own OpenAI or Anthropic key on descriptions and metadata. Nothing on the platform goes out to find the real entries. Ever Works treats the research as the deliverable: its pipeline analyzes the domain, runs web searches, extracts and deduplicates candidates, validates each source, assigns categories and tags and captures screenshots, so what lands on the site is a set of real listings with a source URL each — plus generated A-vs-B comparison pages and curated collections. The directory is the Work kind Ever Works has spent the longest on, and it shows in the output.
Directify does run periodic link-health checks with optional auto-unpublish, and it ships a pre-configured OpenClaw agent for scheduled imports and tidy-ups — but that agent runs on your machine, with your keys, over a source you point it at. Ever Works runs the maintenance itself. Scheduled Updates re-run the generation pipeline on seven cadences from hourly to monthly, with retries and automatic pause on repeated failure; source validation re-checks every listing for reachability and for whether the URL is actually a good source, flagging generic or weak ones and suggesting better; and named Agents wake on their own heartbeats with budgets, quality gates and a merge policy deciding whether their work lands. New listings, refreshed descriptions and dead-link fixes arrive as commits or pull requests without a prompt.
Directify is a hosted appliance: you customize through the theme editor, custom pages and HTML/CSS/JS snippets, and you can export listings as CSV or sync them to a Google Sheet, but there is no site or code export, no self-hosting and no Git. Ever Works gives every Work three repositories in your own Git account — the data, the Markdown and the website, cloned from a template you can fork — and the runtime itself is open source under AGPLv3 as a whole platform, not an open core with paid modules; it runs on your own machine or cluster and takes your choice of AI and search providers, including local models. The generated site is not a shell either: the classic template ships checkout across four payment providers, sponsor ads, member accounts, moderated submissions, star-rated reviews, a map view, a newsletter, 21 locales and llms.txt. What it does not have yet — owner claims, a leads inbox, Sheets and Maps importers, nested categories, a visual theme editor — is exactly what Directify does well, and the table below says so.
Directify counts directories per plan — one on Free, Starter and Pro, three on Growth, unlimited on Agency — and each is a dashboard you operate. Ever Works starts above the site: a Mission holds the goal, proposes Ideas, and builds Works on a schedule, each with its own Knowledge Base and its own Agents. One goal can become several self-maintaining directories, awesome-list repositories and marketing sites (and, on the roadmap, stores and whole companies), rather than a directory you keep operating by hand.

Choose Directify when you want a monetized niche directory live on a hosted site this week and have no interest in the code: paid listings, paid claims, ad campaigns and lead forms switched on from a dashboard for a flat monthly price, your data arriving from a spreadsheet, a Google Sheet or a Google Maps import rather than from a topic to research, and no database or provider keys to hold. It also leads today on owner claims, a leads inbox with CRM sync, two-way Sheets sync, nested categories, a live theme editor and seventeen niche templates — gaps Ever Works has not closed yet.
