Feature · Insights
An insight is only useful if you can check it. Ever Works builds its reporting on things you can trace: digests counted from real run, task and pull-request records, Goals that read your numbers straight from Stripe, Google Analytics, PostHog or an endpoint of your own, and a Knowledge Base whose answers cite the documents they came from. AI writes the summary on top; it never replaces the numbers underneath.
Six sources, each one traceable back to the record that produced it.
A daily or weekly briefing of the agent runs that completed or failed, the tasks that moved, the pull requests opened, events from connected sources, decisions waiting on you and goal progress. Every number is counted from real rows, and a quiet window sends nothing.
The organization digest can carry a short written summary composed from the counts printed above it, so it can only restate numbers that are already there. With no AI provider configured, the digest still arrives and says the summary was skipped.
A Goal watches one number — Stripe gross volume, GA4 active users or sessions, a PostHog event count, or a JSON endpoint of your own — reads it on a schedule, and keeps a progress log against your target with every observation recorded.
Ask a Work’s Knowledge Base a question and the answer cites the documents it used. The Ask why panel shows the retrieval trail behind it, and generated pages carry citation markers that jump straight to the source document.
The Memory page reports recall hit rate — whether the documents injected into runs were actually cited — alongside stale decisions, the review backlog and gap topics: the subjects your Works still have nothing to say about. A rate that cannot be computed says so instead of showing zero.
Before anything is written, research gathers sources and produces the briefs the writing pass works from, then re-runs on the Work’s schedule so what a Work says keeps pace with its topic.
Four steps from an empty account to a briefing you will actually read and a number that is checked for you.
Settings → Digest: enable your personal digest and pick Daily or Weekly. Switch the scope to Organization for a shared briefing, and that is where the optional AI summary lives.
Under Plugins, enable Stripe Metrics, Google Analytics Metrics, PostHog Metrics or Custom HTTP Metrics and give it read-only credentials.
At /goals/new, name the provider and metric, set a direction and a target, then Activate. Evaluate now takes the first reading straight away.
Drop your brand, research and decisions into a Work’s Knowledge Base. Agents read it on every run and write their findings back as proposals you accept or reject.
Insight here means numbers you can trace and answers you can check, not a dashboard that guesses. A few boundaries are worth knowing before you plan around them.
