Issue delegation inside Linear
Linear lets you delegate issues — and, with Loops, recurring work — to agents inside the tracker. Ever Works owns the whole lifecycle — from the idea to a researched, written, coded, deployed, and self-maintaining website.
Linear Agents bring coding agents into the issue tracker you already use: assign an issue to an agent, it does the work, and a human stays responsible for the outcome. It’s a clean way to delegate discrete engineering tasks. Ever Works operates at a different altitude — instead of working inside the project-management tool, over the issues and documents it holds, it takes a single idea and runs the entire arc: research, content, code, deploy, and ongoing maintenance, with everything in Git. Linear delegates tasks; Ever Works delivers the product itself — the researched, written, coded and deployed site, plus the AI org that keeps running it.
Linear Agents act on the issue you hand them. With Ever Works there’s no backlog to groom: you give it an Idea, set Missions, and its own Agents and Teams run the work end to end — drawing on a per-Work Knowledge Base across research, content, code, deploy, and maintenance, not one ticket at a time.
Linear Agent does write and edit text — internal documents, issue and project descriptions — but nothing public ships out of it. Ever Works researches the space and writes the content that goes on the site — directory data, categories, comparisons and SEO metadata today, with dedicated post and landing-copy writers rolling out — then generates the code to present it. The output is a published site, not a closed ticket.
Linear is a proprietary product you operate inside. Ever Works is an open-source runtime you can run on your machine, your cloud, or hosted by us — with no platform to be locked into.
Loops, on Linear’s Business plans and up, do give agents recurring and event-triggered work, and they can keep internal docs and project descriptions current. What they act on is still your issues and documents. Ever Works keeps the published site improving on a schedule — researching, refreshing and republishing — without a human filing a ticket for every change.

Choose Linear Agents if your team lives in Linear and you want to delegate discrete engineering issues to coding agents while keeping humans accountable — it slots delegation neatly into the workflow you already run. It also does things Ever Works does not do today: its coding sessions verify a change by driving the app in a browser and attaching before/after screenshots, spend caps can be set per user with daily, weekly or monthly resets, and third-party vendors install their own agents into your workspace.
