Agent platforms coordinate a workforce or automate a workspace. Ever Works is the open-source runtime that turns an idea into a shipped, self-maintaining business — researched content and generated code, owned in your own Git.
The difference shows up in the building blocks. Ever Works gives you a full company model — not a board of tasks or a fleet of agents to wire up yourself.
Start from a plain-language idea — the seed the runtime researches and grows into a real business, no backlog or org chart to set up first.
Set the goals the runtime pursues. Agents plan and execute against your Missions autonomously, on a schedule, instead of waiting for the next prompt.
A Company is the workspace that owns everything you build — its Teams, Agents and Works, each with its own site, content and code in your own Git. Registration is a manual v1 record today.
A built-in team of AI agents researches, writes, generates code, deploys, and maintains. Nothing to bring or wire up — though you can bring your own models.
Every Work has its own Knowledge Base, giving agents durable institutional context that compounds over time instead of starting cold each run.

A "–" means the capability isn't a focus of that product, not that it's impossible. Each tool is strong at what it set out to do — see the individual pages for the honest, full picture.
A separate class of tool — cloud coding agents such as Devin, Cursor’s cloud agents, GitHub Copilot’s cloud agent, OpenAI Codex, Google Jules, Factory and Amp — takes a ticket, works in a cloud VM against a repository you already own, and comes back with a branch or a pull request. If you already have a codebase and engineers, and the job is clearing a backlog rather than getting a site built, one of those is the right tool and we are not competing for that work. Ever Works is not a general-purpose coding agent you point at an arbitrary repository: it builds and maintains the Works it creates, content and code together, in your own Git. None of them ships research of a subject, page copy, hosting, a domain or publishing — the artifact is a diff, not a published site. Plenty of teams run one of them on their product repo and Ever Works on their content-and-site repos.
Agent orchestration platform
Paperclip turns the agents you bring into an org chart with budgets and approvals. Ever Works is the runtime that turns an idea into a shipped, self-maintaining business — content and code included.

Cabinet is a local-first knowledge base where agents live and accumulate memory. Ever Works is an agentic runtime that ships the public-facing website and repository your company actually needs.
Read the comparison →Issue delegation inside Linear
Linear lets you delegate issues — and, with Loops, recurring work — to agents inside the tracker. Ever Works owns the whole lifecycle — from the idea to a researched, written, coded, deployed, and self-maintaining website.
Read the comparison →Managed coding-agents platform
Multica manages coding agents like teammates on a task board. Ever Works is the runtime that turns an idea into a researched, written, coded, deployed, and self-maintaining website.
Read the comparison →Workspace automation inside Notion
Notion added agents that automate work inside your workspace. Ever Works ships the outward-facing product — a researched, written, coded, and self-maintaining website kept in Git.

Manus is a closed cloud agent that plans and executes work end to end — and now builds, hosts and Git-syncs full web and mobile apps. Ever Works researches the topic, writes the publishable content, generates the site, and keeps improving it on a schedule — content and code in your own Git.
Read the comparison →Open-source personal AI agent runtime
OpenClaw is a single-user personal agent runtime with no organizational model, so this page compares it on the agent-workforce half of Ever Works only: it builds no website, runs no content pipeline and owns no repository. Ever Works researches the topic, writes the content, generates the site, deploys it, and keeps improving it on a schedule — content and code in your Git.

Aden Hive runs business processes with colonies of agents inside the software you already pay for. Ever Works researches the topic, writes the content, generates the site and keeps it improving on a schedule — content and code in Git repositories you own.
Read the comparison →MCP-native agent control plane with an agentic CMS
deco Studio is an MIT control plane where agents operate the storefront or content site you already run — through reviewable pull requests, under SSO, tool-level grants and a credential vault. Ever Works starts from an idea: it researches the space, writes the content, generates the site, deploys it, and keeps improving it on a schedule — content and code in your own Git.
Read the comparison →Local-first desktop AI agent and multi-CLI command center
Wayland is a local-first desktop agent that is also a command center for eighteen other AI coding CLIs on their own logins. It ships no hosting, domain or deploy surface — the output is files on your disk. Ever Works researches the topic, writes the content, generates the site from a template, deploys it, and keeps improving it on a schedule, with content and code committed to your own Git.

Lindy is a closed cloud AI teammate that runs internal operations from Slack — and Lindy Build turns a prompt into an app or site deployed on a lindy.site subdomain. Ever Works researches the topic, writes the content, generates the site, and commits both to Git repositories you own.

Fredrin runs many coding agents in parallel against a GitHub repository you already have, and stops at the pull request. Ever Works starts from a topic — research, content, code, deploy — and keeps the site improving on a schedule, in your own Git.
