Workspace automation inside Notion
Notion added agents that automate work inside your workspace. Ever Works ships the outward-facing product — a researched, written, coded, and self-maintaining website kept in Git.
Notion AI Agents automate work inside the Notion workspace — triaging databases, drafting updates, running standups, and answering questions from your docs, on a schedule or on an event trigger. They are genuinely good at that, and Notion can also publish workspace pages as a public Site. Ever Works is built for the opposite direction: it takes an idea and produces the company’s public-facing product — researched content, generated code, a deployed website — owned in Git and maintained over time. Notion agents run the workspace; Ever Works builds and runs the website your customers see, and hands you the repository behind it.
Notion agents act inside your workspace — pages, databases, standups. Ever Works points outward: from an Idea and your Missions it builds a Company — a content-rich website and the repository that powers it — run by its own Agents and grounded in a per-Work Knowledge Base.
Notion agents automate work over content you already have. Ever Works researches a topic, writes new publishable content, and generates the code to present it — one build rather than two projects. To be precise about today’s scope: the content generators author directory data — items, categories, tags, collections, references and comparisons — while dedicated blog-post and landing-page writers are still rolling out.
Notion does let you pick a model per agent — Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok, or an Auto router — and admins can allow-list which ones agents may use. What you cannot do is point it at a provider of your own: no API key of yours, no OpenAI-compatible endpoint you choose, and no local or offline model. Its External Agents API is in alpha behind a waitlist and lets partner agents such as Claude, Codex and Decagon plug into the workspace — useful, but a different thing from bringing your own model keys. Ever Works runs on 11 providers through one OpenAI-compatible interface, with a provider and model override per Agent and local models supported, and it commits both the content and the code to your own Git.
Notion can publish workspace pages as a Site, with templates, SEO controls and analytics, and a custom domain is a paid per-domain add-on. What it does not hand over is a codebase: no code export, no Git integration, no self-hosting for what it publishes. Ever Works runs on your machine, your cloud, or hosted by us, deploys to a target you choose, and leaves the content and the code in repositories you own.

Choose Notion AI Agents if your team lives in Notion and you want to automate internal workspace work — triaging databases, drafting standups, routing requests, answering questions from your docs — with almost nothing to set up, and with mail, calendar and Slack triggers available out of the box. Budget for it as a plan plus usage: unattended Custom Agents require the Business plan, and since May 2026 they run on Notion credits at $10 per 1,000, workspace-shared, reset monthly with no rollover.
